Description: Take the cable car to King Herod’s private fortress which, following the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in 70 BCE, became a base for a small band of Jewish zealots in revolt against the Romans. Although the rebels held their own, they were eventually overcome by siege, and according to historian Josephus, chose mass suicide over surrender.
One of the most unique experience is floating in the Dead Sea. You are instantly buoyed up by the 33% salt content….so just lay back and float. You can also luxuriously relax with a spa treatment at the hotel where you will have lunch

The neighborhood was planned to accommodate the Yemenite, Kurdish, Jerusalem Sephardi, Greek and Galician Jews. Today the neighborhood attracts a large influx of middle class and students and is enjoying gentrification. One of the Nachlaot neighborhoods is Machane Yehuda, the lively open-air market place where we will taste a selection of the markets offerings.

Description: Israel’s national Holocaust museum, presents a profoundly Jewish memorial of the Shoah. We will view personal possessions belonging to victims, and examine state-of-the-art displays aimed at preserving the story of each of the six million victims.

Description: Walking along Nevi’im (Prophets) Street and the small streets around it, we will hear stories of an amorous doctor’s daughter; a Russian princess who linked herself to Jerusalem; an eccentric poetess who encouraged modern Hebrew; a Jerusalem “Grandma Moses”; an antiquities forger; hospitals founded by missionaries and early Zionists as well as exotic Africans and erstwhile Europeans who established consulates and churches along our route.

Description: Traverse history by walking in the waters of the 8th c. BCE “Hezekiah’s Tunnel” built when the city was defending itself by diverting its flow deep into the city with an impressive tunnel system. Proceed to the Ecce Home convent built over the place where tradition claims Jesus was scourged and condemned to death. Its rough-hewn paving stones show the games Roman soldiers carved into them. In west Jerusalem, we visit the Museum of the Underground Prisoners, central prison during the British Mandate. Hundreds of Jewish underground fighters captured by the British during various actions while fighting against foreign rule were imprisoned here.
